Guidelines and Limitations

The guidelines for this project are detailed below and have been approved by the Executive Team. The limitations on the project are to develop work plans using existing staff whenever possible and to stay within the project budget unless approval for budget changes is given by the Executive Sponsors prior to the change.

• Redesign business processes to take advantage of system functionality-no code change.
• Everyone must learn the system (requires cross-functional understanding).
• Balance implementation and daily operations.
• Fully integrate all subsystems.
• Address team problems quickly.
• Seek approval on all project plan changes, then document.
• Share information widely.
• Follow Enterprise Resource Planning best practices.
• Use expert advice for redesign.
• Implement business 'best practices" wherever feasible.
