Project Organization - Project Implementation TeamThe project implementation team is composed of U of M staff members who are project leaders for the individual module and functionality teams, the project leaders from the vendor, U of M's project leader and co-leader and the vendor's general project consultant. The functional lead for this team will change as modules are completed and new modules are implemented (FRS is the first module suite to be implemented). This group has responsibility for defining the work breakdown structure of their respective projects, for keeping a log of and resolving issues in a timely manner, for risk assessment, for change management, for Workflow implementation and for coordinating all the modular projects so that, in the end, the University of Memphis has one, integrated system. This team also has major responsibility for communicating with the Steering Team and the community on project status and milestone achievements. They are also responsible for planning for training and setting the training schedule for the campus. They refer any issues they cannot resolve in accordance with the guidelines to the Steering Team. To assist in this process, the leads of the Steering Team will attend Implementation Team meetings. This group has responsibility for preparing documentation to support any variations from the base system. They will prepare a business case for any variation that will include the business value, initial cost and a five-year total cost of ownership.
